The upandcoming.ch platform was founded in 2014 by Florian Schaffner, Laurin Schaffner and myself to support up-and-coming Swiss artists with reach and to provide curators, jury members and private art enthusiasts with an overview of the emerging Swiss art scene. I am the curator in the team.
Numerous Swiss talents at a glance
I attach great importance to promoting emerging artists. The non-profit website offers selected artists under the age of 45 the opportunity to present themselves, their artworks and their exhibitions to a wide audience free of charge. Almost 200 artists show their works on the platform and give private individuals, art experts and institutions a visual overview of the up-and-coming Swiss art scene. In its ten-year history, the platform has helped numerous artists to be selected for exhibitions, win art prizes, take part in art and architecture projects, and attract the attention of galleries to represent them.
